In it’s second year, The City Beautiful Invitational was a showcase of incredible basketball talent, gorgeous facilities and God’s undeniable truth.
- With three overtime games the competition was fierce but the Mainland Buccaneers came out on top over The McCallie School in the championship game.
- Coaches and players were in awe over the atmosphere of the tournament including the facilities and wonderful staff and volunteers.
- Games were kept running smoothly by an amazing athletic staff.
- 28 of the 32 games were played in the Cramer Family Fieldhouse.
- Livestream with commentators of 28 of the games was something that set us apart from many tournaments.
- Various media (including newspaper and very popular instagrammers) were in attendance to highlight athletes at our event.
- https://thecitybeautifulinvitational.com was a beautiful site where fans, media and coaches could go for up-to-date information.
- Most importantly, student-athletes and coaches received the Gospel message from Keith Tower with a foreword video interview featuring Jonathan Isaac.
- After presenting how God’s love can transform a life, Keith estimates 20+ young men and coaches immediately raised their hands to make a decision. Praise the Lord!
- We had many amazing food donors including Panera, Chick-fil-a, Flippers, Olive Garden, PF Changs, Outback, Phenomenom, Zoe’s, Tijuana Flatts.
- Incredible community support by businesses and families.
- Volunteers were instrumental in keeping the event seamless and stress-free.
- The tournament program is designed as a school-wide resource highlighting pictures and information from the teams and also from various programs in our school.
Thank you for allowing me to have a small part in God’s work through sports ministry at The First Academy.
